Sea and River Cruises with Haemodialysis
Dialysis cruises are an alternative for guests seeking recreation, relaxation and adventure in their holidays. It's fantastically reassuring knowing that your dialysis is onboard and that you won't have to get up and travel to a unit miles away for treatment. It's also reassuring to know that you have a renal specialist onboard together with a dialysis team just incase you have any concerns. Many of our clients rate their holiday treatment extremely highly and are always impressed by the high level of professionalism not to mention the benefits of using the latest Fresenius equipment.
Haemodialysis is available onboard cruise ships visiting a wide range of destinations including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, USA & Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Argentinia, Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuala, Australia, China, Singapore, Dubai and around the coast of the UK.
You can choose to cruise onboard contemporary 4* cruise ships, small and intimate 5* ships or why not treat yourself to a cruise onboard 5* plus luxury cruises. Alternatively you may prefer a river cruise sailing along the beautiful Blue Danube onboard wonderfully appointed 5* cruise vessels.
For the more technically interested, the onboard dialysis equipment is an integral part of the ship’s infirmary together with a team of experienced nurses and specialist doctor who will take care of you from the beginning of your cruise right up to your disembakation. The equipment is the Fresenius 4008, with full volumetric control, sodium modelling and are set up to handle your individual dialysis prescription. All you have to do is sit back relax and look forward to enjoying your cruise!

Cruising with Haemodialysis....What We do
After chatting with you about the type of cruises and itineraries on offer and you have chosen your cruise our work begins. We take care of everything from there on. All of the required pre-departure coordination, inter-unit liason, and medical administration with your renal unit right through to all of the necessary onboard co-ordination with our ship-side renal team, and, following final approval by our onboard dialysis specialist your cruise arrangements are finalised.
Within this process we also take care of any other requirements you may have. This could include obtaining permission for wheelchairs or scooters to be taken onboard or making the arrangements for the delivery directly to your cabin of any specialist equipment you may require during your cruise. This is all part of our service and comes at no extra charge to you our client.
We are not a call centre and as such you will have a seamless, one to one personal service from your holiday dialysis co-ordinator, who will contact you with regular updates and progress reports all the way through from booking to your cruise departure.
Over the years we have sent many delighted dialysis clients on cruising holidays, most of whom had never cruised before and who now number many of our clients who cruise again and again. We understand the sensitivies involved in taking your first trip with dialysis and hopefully our experience will lend confidence to your decision and help you to find the cruise that best suits your requirements whilst taking care of everything else involved in creating a holiday that you, your family and/or friends will remember.
You will without doubt have many questions if you are considering a cruise for the first time, so please do not hesitate to telephone us on 0844 8002624 or alternatively email your questions to me on LisaParnell@CruisingHoliday.co.uk and we will endeavour to get back to you promptly.
Whichever cruise you choose, our experience and in depth knowledge will ensure that you, your family and friends enjoy the holiday of a lifetime – a holiday we hope you will want to repeat again and again.
